The Wilson County Democratic Party gathered at the Fredonia Public Library on Friday, June 26th, to take action addressing and stamping postcards. We are 39 days away from the Kansas primaries on August 4th. This year, we have two important constitutional amendments to vote on.
With the help of our volunteers who came out, we were able to address and stamp 722 postcards. These postcards will go out to our community members right here in Wilson County. The design is vibrant, yet informative. We hope that this postcard campaign will energize our Democratic voters to get out there on August 4th.
The constitutional amendment change on August 4th will either leave our Kansas Supreme Court in its current form—as a merit-based system—or fundamentally change it. A Vote No keeps Kansas courts fair and impartial. A Vote Yes would allow billionaire political donors to buy our Supreme Court. Although Kansas has a closed primary, unaffiliated voters will still be able to vote on this constitutional amendment change.
Let’s all get out and VOTE NO on August 4th!
August 4th is not the only constitutional amendment change in the state of Kansas this year. November 3rd we will be voting NO again. Help us keep the momentum going by getting involved. Sign up for our newsletter so you know when we are taking action next!
